September traditionally marks the end of summer and return of school bells, packed lunches, and familiar routines. For architects focused on K–12 projects, back-to-school season also signals a shift toward helping school districts finalize budgets, prepare for upcoming bond elections, and engage communities around future investments.
Back to school season is always a reminder of growth and fresh beginnings. Just as our PRISM kids are stepping into new classrooms, we are grateful for the chance to keep learning, adapting, and growing alongside our clients.
PRISM kids are officially back in session, from elementary, middle school, and college. We’re cheering them on as they start fresh chapters of learning and growth. One special highlight is that one of our students got to start the 2025-2026 school year at the brand-new, beautiful Cypress Christian School campus in Bridgeland, designed by longtime client Studio RED Architects.
Our Vice President of Project Management, Vivian Peng, has spent 11 years at PRISM writing a story of leadership, passion, and care. From guiding our project management team to supporting our clients, she makes excellence look effortless. Vivian, we celebrate your incredible journey and the heart you bring to everything you do. Happy Anniversary!
Consolidating public schools can be an unsettling idea. For the community of Pampa ISD, in the Texas Panhandle, architects Shiver-Megert & Associates developed a thoughtful solution to address aging facilities while improving student safety, campus security, and traffic management across the district.
Big things are happening in Rosenberg, and Village Crossing Shopping Center is at the center of it. The team is beginning a capital raise, creating an exciting opportunity for investors and retailers to get in early on this growing retail hub.

Over 30 years ago, I had offers from four U.S. universities. It was Mr. Lu, my father’s childhood friend and a seasoned executive, who encouraged me to choose Houston. That decision shaped my life and career. Today, seeing Houston ranked among the top U.S. cities to live reaffirms what I’ve always known: it’s vibrant, welcoming, and full of opportunity.
