Ladies in Land
Ladies in Land hosted an incredible event last week, Horizontal Development in Action: Earth, Entitlement and Infrastructure Sequencing. It was a beautiful day to put on your boots and get in the dirt. Attendees got a first-hand look at the early stages of Grand Magnolia in Magnolia, TX, developed by Land Tejas in partnership with Starwood Capital Group and hosted by DNT Construction LLC.
Led by Erik Zamora of DNT Construction LLC, the session provided a real-world view of early-stage horizontal development on a large-scale master-planned community. Highlights included:
- Observing 300 acres of active mass grading
- Seeing 35 machines moving 1.3 million cubic yards of dirt
- Learning how infrastructure is sequenced methodically
- Gaining insights into the operational realities of building a community from the ground up
It was an eye-opening and educational experience for all who attended, demonstrating the complexity and precision behind creating thriving communities.
