A commitment to community in energy work
When new infrastructure projects come to town, concerns often follow. Residents worry about the impact. Will it be loud? Will it be an eyesore? Will it harm the environment? One energy company found that thoughtful visuals can make all the difference. They engaged PRISM for multiple aerial view renderings of new and expanded LNG compressor stations. The goal: to address community concerns and give people a realistic sense of what to expect.
As with every project, PRISM began with a client consultation to understand the rendering goals. For a specialized facility like these compressor stations, PRISM dug deeper. The team visited an operating station with the client, learning firsthand how the facility operates, what equipment is visible, how sound and lighting are managed, and the overall project footprint. This helped PRISM deliver visuals that aligned with the client’s commitment to transparency and community engagement.
PRISM’s renderings photorealistically represent the completed stations: low-profile structures, soft, controlled lighting after dark, and strategic screening to blend the station into the surrounding site. Each station is also being designed to meet strict federal noise limits of no more than 55 decibels on average—comparable to the hum of a bathroom exhaust fan.
The project itself will enhance the safe, reliable delivery of natural gas for homes, businesses, and industries across the region. PRISM’s renderings help the community see that efficient energy infrastructure doesn't have to come at the cost of peace of mind.
