Crescent's luxury lifestyle apartments now open

Over two years ago, Crescent Communities began development on their upscale apartment community, Crescent Northpoint. Working with interior architecture and design firm M.Ford & Associates, their clear vision of an energetic urban retreat delivered with stunning reality, as shown above in the lobby rendering (left) vs. the completed lobby. PRISM worked with Crescent on renderings for multiple views of the amenity areas and apartment interiors.

MS150 rider recaps

For the fifth year in a row, PRISM sponsored several intrepid MS150 bicyclists in their fundraising efforts to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Despite the challenging windy conditions, approximately 10,000 riders biked the 150 miles between Houston and Austin and raised more than $15 million for the National MS Society. Congratulations to all the finishers! Megan Hartensteiner, Kirksey I want to thank PRISM for being so generous in your support! This was my fifth MS150 but my first after an eight-year hiatus. And boy did I pick the year to come back! The gusty wind was pretty brutal but somehow I survived with just a little sunburn and a whole lot of wind burn. There were a few uphills where I thought the wind would quite literally blow me over! Riding in this year's MS150 was also a bittersweet experience for me. I completed my first four rides with my father as my riding partner and motivator but unfortunately, during my eight-year hiatus, my father passed away. For me this ride was not just about supporting those with MS but also a way for me to honor my father's memory. I could hear him saying "You go girlie!" as I passed the finish line! Thank you again for your support and I look forward to riding again next year! Emily Lucchesi, daughter of Steve Lucchesi, Ziegler Cooper This year my MS 150 experience was difficult, but fun. Unfortunately, both days we encountered strong headwinds. However, with perseverance, I was able to make it. Another setback that I had was that on the second day, before lunch, I had a crash. Thankfully I just scraped up my knees and elbow (see the blood and bandages), and was able to continue. This just made crossing the finish line in Austin even sweeter. Despite the headwind and my crash, overall I had a great time riding the MS 150 and appreciate the support I received in reaching my goal. Roy Delgado, Kirksey I can't thank you enough for helping me with my MS 150 fundraising. Your generosity really did make a big difference and helped me raise a total of $705 towards ground breaking research, life changing programs and services for people living with multiple sclerosis. This two day ride was on April 29 - 30, but I began training for it in early January. Although my training included long rides, I could not have imagined the kind of headwinds we encountered during our ride. At times, it felt like we were barely moving, but we persisted and kept pedaling towards the finish line. All of the waking up before the sun on the weekends for training was worth it when I crossed the finish line. The large crowd welcoming us with cheers and signs was definitely the highlight of my experience. It truly felt like we can make a difference. Thanks again! Bryan Lightsey, D|G Studios Just want to say, “Thank You” for PRISM’s donation toward my 13th consecutive MS150 fundraising! The cure for MS cannot be done without PRISM and everyone's donations to help fight for a cure. The ride was great both days. I completed 121.6 miles to Bastrop on Saturday and completed the balance of 37.27 miles to the State Capital on Sunday. Luckily, I had a hotel this year to ride out the storms which came through Saturday and Sunday morning. Already I’m looking forward to the 2018 MS150! Paul Newsoroff, AIA, Kirksey Thank you very much for your generous donation to the MS Society. I’ve been riding in the Houston to Austin MS 150 on and off since 1990, with my longest stretch being eight years in a row. With friends and loved ones fighting MS I have personally seen the benefits of the dollars spent for much-needed treatment and rehabilitation.

Running for a reason

We love to support runners too! PRISM's copywriter Carrie Stallwitz of Witz!PR completed her fifth Aramco Houston Half Marathon this year, running for Team CanCare. "My heartfelt thanks to the whole PRISM team for both your donation and your moral support every year. Training for this race seems to get harder for me every year. But then I see so many loved ones around me living with cancer and dealing with so much more every single day. As long as I can run for them, I will."

Boys at The Good Shepherd ultimate winners of poker tournament

Sarah and I attended the recent 2017 Building New Foundations Poker Tournament, benefiting The Good Shepherd RTC. We didn’t “go all in” at the poker tables, but were there in support as a Full House Sponsor. Building New Foundations is committed to building and refurbishing homes for disadvantaged adolescents in the greater Houston area. They began informally in 2009 when a group of friends and colleagues within the construction industry performed small project improvements for a local non-profit, The Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd is a residential treatment center that exists to rehabilitate and treat boys between the ages of 7-17 who have endured the most awful forms of abuse and neglect and deemed by the state as “high risk” children.”
